Dr Sophie Russell, Clinical Psychology

Hi, I'm Sophie
Dr Sophie Russell (she/her)
Clinical Psychologist
I know finding the right psychologist can be difficult. I hope you can get a sense of me from this website, and meet for an initial session to see if we are the right fit.
I've been working as a therapist for 8 years and am trained in clinical psychology through a combined Masters/PhD. My doctoral research focused on intergenerational mental health, emotion processing through family story-telling, and internalising difficulties (anxiety and depression). I am passionate about helping people move through past difficult or traumatic experiences, to live a life they love. Helping people find meaning in their life, relationships, identity, and sexuality is what makes my job so worthwhile.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with friends, outdoors and taking care of my house plants.
I dabble in many creative pursuits, including crochet, sewing and spoon carving!
